Find your way around Dineout Partner

Learn what is in the side menu and why some items may be missing for you.

The side menu on the left is how you move around Dineout Partner. On a narrow screen, click the menu button (three lines) at the top left to open it.

The top of the page

  • The menu button, then the app switcher if your company has more than one app.
  • The Dineout logo with the name of the current app under it: restaurant, point of sale or appointment. In the Appointment app the logo is Sinna's.
  • Your company's logo and name. If you can switch company, an up-and-down arrow is next to the name.

The side menu

What you see depends on the app you are in.

Under the line at the bottom you find:

  • Admin, only for accounts with the right permission.
  • Settings, which opens a full-screen window with your company settings.
  • Log out.

Monitor, Dashboard and Reports

  • Monitor shows what is happening now. In Restaurant it is Live bookings. In Point of sale it has Live orders and Kitchen View. In Appointment it is Live appointments.
  • Dashboard shows figures over time, for example Bookings dashboard in Restaurant and Orders dashboard in Point of sale.
  • Reports has the reports for the app, for example Bookings in Restaurant, Orders and Item sales in Point of sale, and Appointments in Appointment.

A bar with the pages of the current area appears under the header. Click a page in it to move between them.

Settings

Settings opens a window with these groups: Company, Account, Scheduling, Sales and Integrations. Click a name on the left to open that page, and close the window when you are done. A group and its pages show only if they apply to your apps and your permissions.

Why a menu item is missing

You see an item only if all of these are true:

  1. Your company has the app. Items for apps your company doesn't have are not shown.
  2. Your account has permission. Access is set per area, for example live bookings, dashboards, reports or products. Ask a manager or administrator at your company to change what your account can see.
  3. Your view settings allow it. You can hide whole areas for your own account. See Choose your start page and display options.
  4. Your company has the feature. Time Punch needs the Time Punch feature. Gift Cards v2 and Clip cards need permission, and the page inside tells you if your company doesn't have them yet.

Some pages are only for certain roles, for some companies or for organizations with several companies.
