Price your clip cards
Set the price per clip, then give a fixed price, a percentage discount or free clips for each card size.
You set the price on the Pricing step of a product. First you give one price per clip. Then you decide, for each clip count on the product, whether the card costs more, less or the same as that price times the number of clips.
All prices are in ISK.
Enter the price per clip
Type Price per clip. It is required and must be more than 0. When you start from a single product, its menu price is filled in for you.
Choose a discount type
Pick Discount type. It applies to every clip count on the product. Changing it clears the values you typed for each clip count.
Fill in each clip count
For every clip count you chose on Details, a row shows Configure price for N clips with four figures: Original total, Calculated price, Price per clip and Discount. They update as you type. Fill in the field described below.
Check the VAT category
The page also asks for a VAT category. It is required. The 0% category of your company is chosen for you.

The three discount types
| Discount type | You enter | The card costs |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed price | Total price in ISK for that clip count. | Exactly that amount. |
| Discount percentage | Discount %, above 0 and up to 100. | The original total minus the percentage. The result is rounded. |
| Free session | Free sessions, a number of clips above 0 and lower than the clip count. | You pay for the clips that aren't free. The card still has all its clips. |
Example: the price per clip is 1,000 and a card has 10 clips. With Discount percentage 20 the card costs 8,000. With Free session 2 you pay for 8 clips, which is also 8,000. With Fixed price 7,500 the card costs 7,500.
A row that is missing its value, or has a free clip count that is too high, stops you from moving on and shows what to fix.
Set a price limit per clip
Price limit per clip is an optional safety check. If the price per clip is above the limit, the page shows a warning. It does not stop you from saving. Leave it at 0 for no limit.
