Connect DK accounting
Link Dineout to your DK accounting so your sales and invoices are sent to DK, and fix sync errors.
You can connect Dineout to DK accounting. Your products are then kept in sync in DK, and your invoices are sent to DK when you do a Z settlement in the POS app.
Before you start, get your DK plus token from DK support. Dineout can't give you one.
Connect DK
Open Accounting providers
In Settings, open Integrations, then Accounting providers. Click Open on the DK card.
Click New
Click New next to Your DK connections.
Log in with your DK token
Enter your Token and choose the Location. Click Next step.
Choose the DK company
Select the company in DK this account should belong to. If you see "No company selection needed", just click Next Step.
Map your payment types
Match each Dineout payment type to a payment type in DK: Credit, Debit, Cash, Account and Gift cards. Dineout needs every type matched.
If DK has no payment types yet, you see a message. Add them in DK first, for example Visa, Debit and Giftcard.
Choose the default customer
Choose a DK default customers entry. All orders that don't have their own business customer go to this account.
Map VAT categories
Match each Dineout VAT category to a DK payment type (these are DK's "Staðgreiðsluflokkar"). Some accounts use them and others don't. Choose what works for your account.
Choose how to post bills
Tick Post bills to Prentaðir reikningar to send bills straight to Prentaðir reikningar in DK. If you leave it off, they go to Óprentaðir reikningar.
Set the dimension
Enter the dimension (deild) that everything is set to. You can leave it empty.
Finalize
Click Finalize connection. Dineout creates the connection. You see "You are now in sync with DK".
Manage the connection
Open Settings, Integrations, Accounting providers, DK. Each connection has a menu with:
- Enable connection or Disable connection.
- View errors.
- Edit mapping. This opens the payment mapping step again.
- Change token.
- Redo base info upload.
- Delete connection.
Owners and managers also see History, which lists what was sent to DK.
Fix sync errors
On the Accounting Providers page you see Accounting errors in the last week with a number. A green dot means no errors. A red dot means there are errors. Click it to open the errors.
Each error shows the error text and "Solutions". Follow the solution it shows.
If a token stops working, use Change token with a new DK plus token.
