Connect a Teya card terminal
Connect your Teya account to Dineout, add your card terminals and sign in again when the connection expires.
You can take card payments in person on a Teya terminal. First you connect your Teya account to Dineout. Then you add each terminal.
Connect your Teya account
Open Payment terminals
In Settings, open Integrations, then Payment terminals. You see Connections.
Start a new connection
Click New connection. Dineout sends you to Teya to sign in.
Sign in at Teya
Sign in with your Teya account and approve the connection. You come back to Dineout.
Each connection shows its name, a Connection ID and how many payment terminals it has. A green Connected label means it works. A red Disconnected label means Dineout can't use it right now.
Add a terminal
Open the connection
Click View payment terminals on the connection.
Click New terminal
Click New terminal. A Create Payment Terminal window opens.
Fill in the form
Enter a Name, for example "Terminal 1". Choose the Store. Then choose the Terminal. The list shows the terminal name and its number.
Save
Click Save. You see "Payment terminal created".
To change a terminal, click it in the list and click Save when you are done. The list shows each terminal's name and number.
The New terminal button is greyed out until your company has at least one location.
Sign in again when the connection expires
Sometimes Teya asks you to sign in again. The connection then shows the message "This connection requires re-authentication. Please log in again to continue using this payment provider."
Click Re-authenticate
Click Re-authenticate on the connection.
Sign in at Teya
Sign in to Teya again. You come back to Dineout.
Pair a terminal with a POS tablet
Terminals used with the POS app are paired on the tablet itself. In the POS app, open Settings, then POS, and follow the steps there. The tablet shows a QR code to scan with your Teya login. If the login has expired, the POS app says "Teya login has expired: scan the QR code again under Settings -> POS".
