Which browser to use
Use Chrome for Dineout Partner, printers and sound alerts, and allow the permissions it asks for.
We recommend Chrome when you connect a printer from Dineout Partner. The printer page asks you to "use a supported Chrome environment" if something it needs is missing in your browser.
Printers
To connect a USB printer, the browser shows a window where you choose the printer. If you don't choose one, the printer isn't connected. See Connect a receipt printer and cash drawer.
If you see "Required browser worker support is unavailable", reload the page or switch to Chrome.
Sound for new orders
The live orders page plays a sound when a new order arrives. Some browsers only play sounds after you click on the page.
If the sound can't play you see Issue with sound notifications. Click Try again. If it says "Sound notifications are working", you are done. If it shows another message, check that your browser and computer allow sound for this page.
Pop-ups
Some pages open other pages in a new tab, for example receipts and some apps (gift cards, clip cards, Time Punch). If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for Dineout Partner in your browser.
