Gift cards for an organization or one company
Choose whether a card works at every company in your organization or only at one company.
If your account belongs to an organization, for example a group of restaurants, you choose when you issue a card where it can be used.
This choice only appears for users who belong to an organization. If you run a single company, you don't see it, and your cards are company cards.
Choose the scope
Open the issue page
Go to Gift Cards → New. See Issue a gift card.
Open Advanced settings
Click Advanced settings. The first section is Gift card scope.
Pick one
- Gift card for organization: valid across all companies in this organization.
- Gift card for company: only valid for this specific company.
Check the summary
The Order Summary shows the Scope next to the value and quantity. Click Issue Gift Card.
Organization users issue organization cards by default. A company card sold by mistake is only valid at the issuing restaurant, so check Gift card scope before you issue.
Products work the same way
On a product's page, the Organization product switch decides whether cards sold as that product are valid at every restaurant in the organization or only at the one that sold it.
Good to know
- Organization users must choose a company to work as before they can use the app.
- In the transaction list and the dashboard, cards show as Own gift cards (company) or Organization. See Transactions.
