Promo codes for gift cards
Create discount codes that customers can enter at checkout to get a percentage off gift cards.
A promo code gives a percentage off when a customer enters it at checkout. Each code applies to the gift card menus you choose. You find them under Sales Channels → Promo codes.
You need Write on the Payments permission to see this page. The page only lists codes that apply to your gift card menus.
Create a promo code
Start a new code
Go to Sales Channels → Promo codes and click New promo code.
Enter the code and discount
Type the Code, for example SUMMER25, and the Percentage off (1 to 100). You can add a Description as a note for yourself.
Choose the menus
Under Gift card menus, pick the menus the code applies to. You need at least one. If there are none, create a menu under Sales channels first. See Sell gift cards online.
Decide when it works
Follows menu availability is on by default, so the code works whenever its menus are available. Switch it off to set your own schedule.
Publish and create
The Status shows Published by default. Click it to switch to Unpublished, which keeps the code but stops it from being used. Then click Create promo code.
Change or delete a code
Click a code in the list to edit it, then click Save. Delete promo code removes it after you confirm. The code no longer works at checkout and this can't be undone.
You can search the list by code or description.
Customers only get the discount if the menu's Checkout options include Promo code. See Sell gift cards online.
