Book an appointment
Add an appointment for a customer who calls, walks in or asks you to book for them.
You can book an appointment for a customer from the calendar. You choose the customer, the services and the staff member, and the customer can get an email or SMS.
Book an appointment
Start a new appointment
Click the round + button in the calendar (its tooltip says Create), then choose New appointment.
Find or add the customer
Search by name or phone. If the customer is new, choose New Customer and fill in Name, Phone and Email.
Add services
Under Appointment, click + Add service and pick the service. You can narrow the list by category, or see everything with All. A service can have options to choose from.
Set the time and staff member
For each service, choose the Time, the Duration and the staff member. Services that run on a fixed schedule ask for a Date, a Slot (Pick slot) and the Number of guests instead. See Flexible and scheduled services.
Add more than one service (optional)
When you add several services, choose how they follow each other:
- Services one after another: each service starts when the previous one ends.
- Services at the same time: all services start at the same time.
- Set start time per service: you choose the start time of each service yourself.
Add a note (optional)
Open Notes and write in Appointment notes.
Choose how to tell the customer
Tick Send sms and/or Send email. A box is greyed out when the customer has no phone number or email.
Create the appointment
Click Create. A window asks Create appointment? and shows what you are creating. Check the notification boxes again and click Create.
Not sure which time is free? Click Find in Calendar to pick a time on the calendar instead.
Preferred staff member
Tick Preferred staff member if the customer asked for this person. It is not shown when all services in the booking are scheduled services.
Company-specific options
- If your company turned on Employee on appointment, an Employee field is required. Type who is making the booking.
- The customer's own message, if they left one when booking online, is shown as Customer Note:.
