Set up a self-service kiosk

See the kiosk devices linked to your company and choose their location, billing profile and payment terminal.

Self-service kiosks are only available to some companies. This article covers only the settings Dineout Partner shows.

A self-service kiosk is a device that customers use themselves. Here you manage the devices linked to your company.

See your devices

In Settings, open Self Service Kiosk. The page lists Registered Devices with each device's name, maker, model and ID.

If you see No devices found, no device has been logged in to self service yet. A device shows here after it logs in.

Change a device

Open the device

Click the device in the list. The window Device Configuration opens. Device Information shows its name, maker, model and ID.

Choose a billing profile

Under Configuration, pick a Billing Profile.

Choose a location

Pick the Restaurant Location where the device is. The word "Restaurant" is on screen even for service companies.

Choose a payment terminal

Pick a Payment Terminal. The list depends on the billing profile you chose. If it is empty, you may need to set up payment terminals for that billing profile first.

Save

Click Save Settings.

Remove a device

Open the device and click Delete Device, then confirm with Delete. The device has to be registered again before it can be used for self service.

Get an email when a customer checks in

A staff member can get an email when a customer checks in at the kiosk. Turn this on in the staff member's Notifications tab. See Confirmations, reminders and staff emails.
