Let customers know about changes
Send an email or SMS when you change an appointment, or send a custom SMS and see what was sent.
When you change an appointment, Dineout asks if you want to tell the customer. You can also send your own SMS at any time.
When you change an appointment
When you confirm a change, a window asks Do you want to notify the customer?
- Send SMS: sends a text message. It is greyed out if the customer has no phone number.
- Send Email: sends an email. It is greyed out if the customer has no email.
- Message to customer (optional): a note added to the email. It only shows when Send Email is ticked.
If you do not tick Send Email after a change of time, services or status, you get a warning: You are not notifying the customer. Click Continue to go on without telling them.
This applies when you create, change, move, duplicate, confirm, decline or cancel an appointment.
Set what is ticked by default
Open the calendar settings
In the calendar, click Settings on the side.
Find Update appointments

Send a custom SMS
