See where your bookings come from
Learn what each booking source means and where you can see it.
Every booking has a source. It tells you how the booking was made.
| Source | What it means |
|---|---|
| Manual | You or your staff created it in Dineout Partner. |
| Walk-in | You added a guest without a booking. See Add a walk-in. |
| Website | A guest booked on your own website. |
| Dineout marketplace | A guest booked through Dineout, on the web or in the app. |
| Agent | A booking from an agent or partner. |
| Other | A booking from another source. |
Where you can see the source
- On a booking, open Details. Source is in the Booking information list.
- In the timeline, two icons mark sources. Online booking means a guest booked online through your website or the Dineout marketplace. Hotel booking means the source is Agent or Other. See Read the booking icons.
- On Bookings dashboard, the source chart groups them as Manual, Walk-In, Website and Dineout channels. Dineout channels includes the marketplace, agents and other sources.
- In Bookings report and export, filter by Source (Manual, Web, App, Portal, Walk-in, Agent, Other). There the marketplace is split into Web and App, and the website is called Portal.
