Combine tables for larger groups
Tell Dineout which tables can be pushed together so larger parties can be seated and booked online.
A table combination is a set of tables that can be put together for a larger group. Dineout uses combinations when no single table is free for a party.
Add a combination
Open the room
Go to Settings, Company, Floorplan. Under Floor plans click the pencil next to the room.
Open Table combinations
Click the Table combinations tab. You only see this tab for rooms that are already saved.
Add the combination
Click Add combination. Then:
- Pick at least two tables in Tables. Only tables from this room are offered.
- Set Min guests and Max guests for the whole combination.
- Choose a Priority: Lowest, Low, Medium, High or Highest.
Save
Click Save changes. You see Table combinations updated.
To remove a combination, click the red bin next to it and save.
How Dineout uses combinations
When Dineout looks for tables, it first tries single tables and prefers the highest priority. If no single table is free, it looks at combinations and prefers the highest priority one.
A booking that uses more than one table shows a Combo booking icon. See Read the booking icons.
You can always choose several tables by hand when you create a booking.
Dineout can also create every possible combination of tables in a room for you. That setting (Auto table combinations) is only visible to Dineout staff. Ask Dineout support to switch it on.
