Set up your floor plan and tables
Create rooms, add tables with guest limits and priorities, block tables from online booking and design the layout.
Your floor plan is made of rooms, and each room has tables. Dineout uses them to suggest tables, to stop double bookings and to draw the rooms view in the monitor.
Open Settings, then Company, then Floorplan. You see two sections: Floor plans and Designer.
Create a room
Add the room
Open Floor plans and click New.
Name it
Fill in Name. Add a Description if you like.
Save
Click Save changes. Then add tables as described below.
The room list shows each room with its number of tables and table combinations. Drag a room up or down to change the order. Click the pencil to edit it.
A room marked A la carte can be booked online without choosing a menu. A room without it can only be booked online together with a menu.
The switches Available for online bookings and Auto table combinations are only shown to Dineout staff. Ask Dineout support if you need them changed.
Add tables to a room
Open the room
Click the pencil next to the room and stay on the Tables tab.
Add a table
Click Add table. Fill in:
- Name, for example "T1".
- Min guests and Max guests: the fewest and most guests the table suits.
- Priority: Lowest, Low, Medium, High or Highest. When Dineout picks a table by itself it prefers the highest priority first.
- Block online: switch it on if guests must not book this table online. Your staff can still book it in Dineout Partner.
Save
Click Save changes.
Drag the handle on the left of a table to change the order of tables. Click the red bin to remove a table.
Delete a room
Open the room and click Delete, then confirm. You can't delete a room that is available for online bookings. A room with bookings can't be deleted until you move or cancel them. Dineout shows you the list of bookings.
Design the layout
The Designer decides how your tables look in the rooms view of the monitor.
Open the Designer
Open Designer and choose the room in Select room.
Place the tables
Drag a table to move it. Drag its corners to resize it. The name of the table you picked shows next to the drop-down.
Save
Click Save. A message tells you the floor plan was updated.
