Create an event
Set up an event guests can book, with a description, image, menus, availability, payment and optional private access.
An event is something guests book as a special occasion, such as a tasting dinner. It has its own menus, dates, payment and rules.
You need permission to work with events. Only users with write permission see an active New button. Publishing needs its own permission.
Open Events
Open Events in the top menu. On Your events click New.
Name the event
Fill in Add title and Short description. Use the description editor for the full text. If you have more than one language, switch language at the top and fill in each one.
Set the web address name
Fill in Url friendly name. This is the short name used in the event's link, for example "summer-dinner". It can't be changed later.
Add menus
Under Event menus click Add menu. Fill in the name, short description, rooms (Floor plan), seating duration, payment, availability and whether all guests must choose the same menu. See Menus guests choose when booking for the fields. Click Save in the menu window.
Set availability
Under Availability click Add. Choose the type, Table reservation or Fixed capacity. Choose the days and the times. For Fixed capacity also set the Guest capacity for each time slot.
Pick rules (optional)
Under Rules choose which rules the event follows. The event follows only these rules. Your normal weekday and date rules don't apply. With no rules chosen the event has no restrictions. See Availability rules.
Set payment
Under Payment choose a Payment type: None, No-show or Pre-payment. Fill in Price, choose Pricing (Per person or Per booking) and a VAT Category. A VAT category is needed whenever you take payment.
