Charge a no-show fee

Charge the guest's registered card when they didn't show up.

If a guest registered a card when they booked and then did not come, you can charge the no show fee with one click from the list view.

Staff users can't charge a fee. You need to be a manager or owner.

Set the booking to No show

Open Monitor and switch to the list view. In the booking's status drop-down, choose No show.

Click Charge

A button that starts with Charge and shows the amount appears at the right of the booking. Click it.

Check the result

After a successful charge the button is replaced by Paid and the date. The booking also shows a paid icon in the timeline.

When you see the Charge button

The button shows only when all of these are true:

  • The status is No show.
  • The guest registered a card (the booking has a Card registered icon).
  • The fee has not been paid yet.

If the charge fails you see Error charging for no show.

You can also charge from the table box in the rooms view, because it shows the same actions.

Set up the fee first

The fee comes from your online booking settings or from a rule. See No-show fees and pre-payments.
