Create a bundle
Build a bundle item that has no price of its own and is made from variations that hold other items.
A bundle is an item that bundles other items together, such as a meal deal. The bundle has no price of its own. The prices come from the items inside it.
How a bundle works
You make the bundle an item with Is bundle switched on. Then you add variations to it. Each variation holds the items the customer can choose from, and each of those items has a price. See Variations.
Create a bundle
Start a new item
Go to Products, then Items. Click New Item.
Name it and switch on Is bundle
Enter the product name and switch on Is bundle. The price field disappears. Dineout shows a note that the bundle has no price on its own.
Click Create
Click Create. The item page opens.
Add variations
Under Variations, click Add new variation and pick the variations that make up the bundle. Create them first under Products → Variations if they don't exist yet.
Set VAT, categories and save
Choose a VAT Category and the Categories for the bundle, then click Save.
On the item page of a bundle, Is sellable? is locked and the price, cost and barcode fields are not shown.
If you stop selling one item that is part of a bundle, the bundle is still sold. See Stop selling an item online.
