Track stock
Count how many of each item you have, and see how many are left as you sell.
The Inventory page lists your items and how many you have in stock. You enter a count, and Dineout subtracts what you sell after it.
Update a count
Open Inventory
Go to Products, then Inventory.
Click the item
Click the item's row. A window opens called Inventory for item.
Enter the stock
Type the amount you have in In Stock ("Input the current amount that is in stock").
Click Update
Click Update. The window also shows when the last count was done and what the count was.
Read the list
The list has these columns: ID, Name, In Stock and Last Added. You can sort by ID and Name.
In Stock is your last count minus the quantity sold on orders since that count. If you never counted an item, it starts at 0.
Hide an item from the list
Click Hide item from Inventory in the item's window to remove it from the list. Dineout asks you to confirm and says the action is irreversible.
Service items, gift cards and internal items are never shown in the list.
You need write permission for inventory to update a count.
