Handle incoming orders

Watch new orders arrive on the Live orders screen, move them through each status, and open or print them.

Live orders shows today's orders for your location as they come in. You move each order along as you prepare it.

Open Live orders

Go to Monitor, then Live orders.

The screen has four columns, one for each status:

StatusMeaning
NewThe order just arrived. The card blinks until you act.
In progressYou are preparing it.
ReadyIt is ready for pickup or delivery.
DoneThe order is finished.

New orders appear on their own. You don't need to refresh. When the screen connects, it shows "Connected to order updates".

Move an order to the next status

Each card has a button at the bottom that moves the order one step on:

  1. On a New card, click In Progress.
  2. On an In progress card, click Ready.
  3. On a Ready card, click Done.

You can also drag a card to another column. Done orders have no button.

Read a card

A card shows the order number, the customer's name and phone, and a countdown to the time the customer chose. A badge shows Delivery, Take Away or Eat In. Unpaid shows when the order has not been paid. A speech bubble means the customer left a comment: point at it to read it. Delivery orders show the address. A Wolt logo marks Wolt orders.

If the Display kitchen view switch is on, cards show the items instead of customer details. See Use the kitchen view.

Open an order

Click a card to open the order on the right. You can change it and click Save.

Open the order

Click the card.

Click the print icon

Click Print order at the top. Dineout shows "Order will be printed in a few seconds."

To print many orders, click the print icon in the screen header (Print orders). Choose the details to include, such as Name, Phone or Category With Items, then click Print. This prints today's orders from your browser.

Add an order yourself

Click the round + button at the bottom right to create a new order for your location.
