Create promo codes
Give customers a discount code, choose which product lists and locations it works for, and share a link that fills in the code.
A promo code gives a percentage off. You decide which product lists and locations it works for.
Only admins and managers can add promo codes.
Create a promo code
Open Promo codes
Go to Products, then Promo codes. Click New.
Enter the code
Type the code at the top. It must be 3 to 15 characters.
Set the discount
Fill in Discount %, from 0 to 100. You can add a Description of up to 50 characters.
Choose where it works
Choose the product lists, availability and locations. See below.
Save
Click Save.
A new promo code is Published with a 20% discount.
Settings
- Published. Switch it off to stop the code from being used.
- Available for all menus. Switch it off to choose product lists under Menus. The code then only works on those lists. See Product lists (menus).
- Follows menu availability. Switch it off to give the code its own times under Availability. Click Add and set a Delivery or Take away time.
- Locations. This only shows if you have more than one location. Pick the locations where the code works. If you pick none, it is eligible on all locations.
Companies that sell services also see Available for all resources.
Share a link that fills in the code
Each promo code in the list has a View link. The link opens your order page with the code already filled in at checkout. Copy the link and share it, for example in a newsletter.
Delete a promo code
Open the promo code and use the delete button at the top.
