Receipts

Get the receipt for a closed order in the web POS, fix its payments, and close the order screen.

When an order is fully paid, the web POS closes it and opens the Receipt screen. The receipt is shown on the left. The actions are on the right, under Order Closed and the time the order was closed.

Click the action you need:

  • Print Receipt: opens your browser's print window.
  • Download Receipt: saves the receipt as a PDF called receipt- followed by the order number.
  • Send Receipt: opens Send Receipt via Email. Check or type the Email Address and click Send. The address starts as the customer's email, if the order has one.

To get back to the receipt of a closed order, open the three-dot menu at the bottom of the cart and click View receipt. It is only available once the order is closed.

You can also open the PDF of any order from the reports. See Sales, item and tip reports.

Change a closed order

The Receipt screen has more actions for fixing details after the sale:

Add CommentAdds or edits the order comment. Click Save.
Change StaffChanges the staff on the items, or sets the default staff for new items.
Edit PaymentsOpens Edit Payment Source Types. Change the Type of each payment, for example from Cash to Credit card, then click Save. The amounts stay the same.
Change TimeOpens Change Designated Time. Pick a new date and time and click Save.

Open Cash DrawerOpens the cash drawer. Greyed out when no printer is connected.

Close the order screen

Under the actions you find two buttons:

  • Close Order: leaves the order and goes back to where you came from.
  • Open New Order: starts a new order.

The order itself is closed as soon as it is fully paid. Close Order only closes the screen.

If there is nothing to pay, use Complete order on the Checkout screen to close it. See Take a payment in the web POS.
